The City of Fort Morgan is excited to recognize Skydive Orange Skies as the Business of the Month for September! Based at the Fort Morgan airport, Skydive Orange Skies brings thousands of visitors to our community each year for an unforgettable skydiving experience. Approximately 10,000 jumps are performed annually, with the majority being from its 6,500 out-of-town visitors.
The business has continued to grow over its nine years of operations. Recently, it developed a new audience of thrill seekers and is the only freefall skydiving outfit in the United States that offers jumps to kids. Last year, approximately 50 youngsters took advantage of this opportunity traditionally reserved for adults.
Former U.S. Marine and owner Mike Bohn and his team of 25 pilot and instructor contractors are also committed to giving back, supporting veterans, local nonprofits, youth, and the Fort Morgan aviation community as well. Mike serves on the Airport Advisory Board and was instrumental with hosting several of its Fort Morgan Fly-In and Air Expo events.
