Over the last several weeks, the proudly celebrated and honored two of our own, Sgt. 1st Class Kevin Creel and Lt. Col. Phillip Denker, during heartfelt retirement ceremonies recognizing their distinguished military careers, steadfast leadership, and unwavering devotion to the profession of arms.

Surrounded by fellow Soldiers, family members, friends, and teammates, both leaders were recognized for years of selfless service, sacrifice, and commitment to mission accomplishment at every level. Their careers reflect the very best of the Noncommissioned Officer and Officer Corps — leading from the front, mentoring the next generation of Soldiers, and leaving a lasting impact on every unit and individual they served alongside.

As they close this chapter of military service, the thanks Sgt. 1st Class Creel and Lt. Col. Denker for their dedication, professionalism, and countless contributions to the Army and the nation. Their legacy of leadership and service will continue to inspire those who follow in their footsteps.

On Tuesday, the 1-310th Brigade Engineer Battalion, , hosted a Change of Command ceremony at Fort McCoy as the battalion transitioned leadership from Lt. Col. Phillip Denker to Lt. Col. Bradley Laux. The ceremony celebrated Denker’s years of dedicated service, steady leadership, and lasting impact on the battalion as he concluded his command and entered retirement. It also welcomed Laux as he assumes command, bringing experience, leadership, and a commitment to continuing the battalion’s legacy of excellence. Following the Change of Command, Denker was further honored during a retirement ceremony recognizing his distinguished military career and service to Soldiers, families, and the unit.

’s Headquarters and Headquarters Company held a Change of Command ceremony on Fort McCoy last week as we bid farewell to Capt. Andrew Leupp and welcomed Capt. Joseph Dalrymple. Capt. Leupp led the company with dedication and professionalism, helping accomplish the mission and strengthen the team along the way. We are confident Capt.
