The Florida of Iowa Golf Tournament is one of the Fort Madison Chamber of Commerce's signature fundraising events, and it did not disappoint!
One of the highlights was the "Hit It and Get It" putting green—part skill, part luck, and all fun. It was great to see so many people supporting the Chamber and helping make this annual event another success.

Had lunch today with Mayor Gary Peitz and City Manager Randy Welding at Point 95 in West Point. Even though I grew up in these parts, it's always good to catch up with friends.

Our conversation covered everything from the Farmers Market and municipal utilities to pickleball courts and the opportunities ahead for West Point. One thing is clear—strong communities are built by people who are willing to invest their time and energy into making them better.

West Point is a great place with great people, and it remains a wonderful area to grow up, and raise a family.

I enjoyed helping with the Keokuk Chamber's first Paint-A-Thon, a true neighbors-helping-neighbors project. I spent the day working alongside Calvin and a band of dedicated volunteers from the Keokuk Cares Project, tearing out overgrown bushes and preparing the area for new landscaping.
A big thank you to everyone who volunteered their time and talents to make a difference in our community. This is what small-town Iowa is all about!

From primary care and dental services to behavioral health and preventive care, they help ensure that individuals and families across our region have access to the services they need.
Listening and learning from the people doing this important work helps me better understand how we can strengthen healthcare access for everyone in our communities
