JBLM Emergency Management JBLM Emergency Management serves to help inform and assist in preparing in the event of a natural or man-made emergency on or around the installation.

JBLM Emergency Management Division prepares plans to minimize personal and property damage should a natural or man-made incident occur. You and your family members must also take precautions by doing your own planning and preparing for various phenomenon. JBLM EM participates in Full-Scale exercises which are designed using a realistic scenario which could encompass some or many of the hazards and

threats to the installation. Through this page we will provide as much information available to inform and assist in preparing the JBLM community in the event of a natural or man-made emergency on or around the installation. Please review the information, follow the links provided for further reading/resources that may assist you during your time at JBLM. JBLM EM can be contacted to conduct training with the community, organizations, and FRGs. Contact our division via email or telephone number listed on the main page. As a reminder, while being stationed at JBLM and the great Northwest, you may experience the effects of many naturally occurring events. High winds, freezing temperatures, wildland fires, and flooding are some of the hazards in the local areas.

Please be advised, there is an active tsunami advisory in place for Washington State.

Updated at 10:40 a.m.: The advisory for Washington state has been CANCELLED. At this time there is no tsunami threat to the Washington coast. Check out http://tsunami.gov for more information.

There still may be strong currents so we advise folks to stay cautious if they go near the water. Stay tuned to Washington State Parks & Recreation Commission to see when the beaches will be reopened.

It’s a horrible feeling when you realize you don’t have the correct numbers to call in an emergency. Make sure you save this information, you may not need it now, but you will when crisis strikes.
