The Ninjas and the Sentinels had the great opportunity to train with our 92W brothers and sisters of 24th CSC today during our Battalion FTX, “Operation Swift Response”.

They make the water clean, we certify that it is potable. Together, we keep our Soldiers hydrated.

03 June 2024. Change of Command Ceremony of 227th Medical Detachment (Preventive Medicine).

Thank you MAJ Richardson for your outstanding leadership. Under your command, we have truly grown to be arguably the best PM detachment in the Army. Rest assured, your legacy will not be tarnished but rather continue to be honed for many years to come.

Welcome CPT Au. You bring invaluable depth of experience and knowledge to the unit. We are excited to write this new chapter in our detachment history under your guidance.

Stick to the Shadows!

This is long overdue.

If you have noticed the significant jump in the quality of our pictures, it is all because of this man that you see in this post, SGT Timothy Stewart.

A former 11B and now a 68S, photography is SGT Stewart’s sincere passion. You will never witness a day where he is not carrying his equipment with him, capturing the intricate moments of life that we ourselves often take for granted. All credit goes to him for elevating the presentation of our unit page.

Thank you SGT Stewart! We are incredibly lucky to have you.

May 2024 Update Part 4:

To send off the month of May, the Ninjas and the Sentinels came together this morning in a friendly competition of whiffle ball (lower risk assessment than actual baseball). The game came down to the wire, 14-13 with a walkoff double.

May 2024 Update Part 3:

Selected members of both 227 (SSG Salas, SGT Stauffer, and CPT Zhang) and 255 (MAJ Pham) were tasked to provide PM support for Cadet Summer Training 2024 at Fort Knox, Kentucky.

We had the privilege to work with three young outstanding Soldiers from 485th Medical Detachment (PFC Agbefe, PFC Fowler, and PFC Nguyen) coming out of Fort Johnson, Louisiana, and successfully set up protocols to ensure the cadets’ health and well-being in four major areas: food safety, potable water quality assurance, heat injury mitigation, and tick collection.

It is efforts like this behind the scenes that ensure the success of our troops when they tackle their actual combat missions.

Shout out to all the PM folks across the military who continuously stay vigilant.

May 2024 Update Part 2:

The dreaded summer PCS season has arrived and we had to say goodbye to another stellar Soldier, SPC(P) Dockrey. What an absolutely impressive tenure at 227. SPC(P) Dockrey deployed with the unit to USCENTCOM AOR in 2022-2023 and earned her stripes as a 68S. She was also our Armorer and Commo Rep. But mostly importantly, she was just a joy to work with every single day. We wish you the best in Alaska! Please keep us updated on all your future successes!

May 2024 Update Part 1:

It’s been an extremely busy month for the Ninjas. We kicked it off with a celebration. SGT Wallace graduated from Basic Leader Course (BLC). Let’s go get that first bottom rocker Sergeant!

This past week we celebrated the retirement of our own SSG Clayton Lemke. SSG Lemke proudly served our country for 20 years from 2004 to 2024 and has been a cornerstone to the success of our unit. Faithful to the Creed, SSG Lemke consistently exemplified the attributes of what a good leader should be. He has decided to continue his service to the nation as a DoD Civilian, and his knowledge will continue to shape our future leaders in military public health. We wish him the best in his future endeavors. Enjoy your freedom Mr. Lemke! A job well done!

We have not posted anything in a while due to our extremely busy schedule. However, we also make sure to take some time to decompress. Earlier in March the Ninjas of 227th and the Sentinels of 255th conducted a joint SFRG (Soldier Family Readiness Groups) event at the paintball facility on JBLM. Nothing more cathartic than shooting each other with paint.

255th proved to be superior in offensive operations by being victorious in Capture the Flag.

227th proved to be superior in defensive operations by holding down the fort against waves of enemy attack.
