U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood leaders held a town hall Jan. 7 to discuss MSCoE’s role in bolstering a more efficient, agile and lethal U.S. Army focused on warfighting and how the center of excellence will continue to propel the Department of War’s mission through the Army’s Transformation and Training Command, commonly known as T2COM, in the future.

Maj. Gen. Christopher Beck, MSCoE and Fort Leonard Wood commanding general, and MSCoE Command Sgt. Maj. Jorge Arzabala opened the town hall by welcoming the service members and DOW civilians filling Lincoln Hall Auditorium and explaining how T2COM is driving change across the Army.

USAMPS hosted a Leader Professional Development session with Sergeant Major Timothy Nein, drawing on lessons from the actions of Raven 42 during the Palm Sunday Ambush on 20 March 2005 to reinforce a timeless truth: victory and lethality are built on mastery of the basics. Through disciplined ex*****on of fundamentals—training, leadership, and standards—formations become more lethal, resilient, and prepared to fight and win. The basics are not optional; they are decisive.

A message from Provost Marshal General Brig. Gen. Sarah Albrycht:

In a time meant for gratitude and togetherness, our hearts in the Military Police Corps are heavy with sorrow.

We reflect today on the young but impactful life of U.S. Army Spc. Sarah Beckstrom, a 20-year-old MP Soldier who embodied the commitment of the West Virginia National Guard’s 863rd Military Police Company. She answered the call to serve our nation in 2023, and now we grieve her tragic passing.

Every call, every stop, and every assignment is a solemn reminder of the potential danger MPs face serving our purpose—Assist, Protect, and Defend. Spc. Beckstrom lived that purpose with unwavering devotion. She pledged her life to safeguarding others, choosing to be a protector, a helper, and a servant to her community and her nation.

Today, we honor her not only for her sacrifice, but for the life she lived in service, and for the shield she willingly lifted on behalf of those she would never meet. For that, we owe her a depth of gratitude words can scarcely hold.

The Army Provost Marshal SGM and I send our deepest sympathies to Spc. Beckstrom’s family, friends, and fellow Soldiers of the 863rd Military Police Company. Empowered by her sacrifice and legacy, we continue to Assist. Protect. This we’ll Defend.

11/25/2025

As we head into the holiday, the Regimental Command Sergeant Major and I want to extend our deepest appreciation to every Military Police Soldier, Leader, Family member and Civilian across the Regiment.

Thank you for your unwavering professionalism, your commitment to our mission, and the support you provide every day. We are proud of this incredible Regiment and grateful for all you do.

Wishing you and your families a safe, restful, and meaningful Thanksgiving.

Assist, Protect and This We’ll Defend.

On 23 September, the Order of The Crossed Pistols event took place on Fort Leonard Wood which included over 30 spouses and family members!
The events this year consisted of an AFT, the EST where they had the chance to use simulated weapons such as the M4, 249, and 240B. They followed these events with a lunch at the 795 DFAC. After lunch they headed to the live fire range to fire M4s, conducted a tour of the Military Police Corps Museum, and visited the CID crime lab. The day ended with the family members participating in a Rights of Passage Ceremony.
