Another hot week is ahead, and a Heat Advisory is in effect for our area. Please take precautions to stay safe during the extreme temperatures.

The Fort Lee Office of Emergency Management has opened Cooling Centers for anyone who needs relief from the heat. If you or someone you know does not have access to air conditioning, please take advantage of these locations.

☀️Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water.
☀️ Limit outdoor activities during the hottest part of the day.
☀️Wear lightweight, light-colored clothing.
☀️Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle.
☀️Check in on elderly neighbors, family members, and anyone who may be vulnerable to the heat.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our brothers and sisters of the Ambulance Corp. A good man taken way too soon. RIP

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and fellow member, Glenn O’Connor.

Glenn joined our organization in 2012 and faithfully served both our agency and the community with unwavering commitment. Throughout his years of service, he held many important roles, including EMT, Field Training Officer, and Council Officer as Treasurer. His dedication, professionalism, and friendship made a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

On behalf of our entire organization, we extend our deepest condolences to Glenn’s family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

This morning, Fort Lee Fire Department in conjunction with Fort Lee Police and Ambulance Corp organized a demonstration for the Fort Lee High School senior class on the consequences of driving under the influence.

The line between life and death is a fine one; always use your best judgement, and never get behind the wheel while under the influence. Stay safe, Fort Lee!

For the past 2 1/2 days the members of the East Bergen Rappel Team held our annual recertification at the Bergen County Fire Academy.

Great job by all the senior and new members, and a thank you to the Academy Instructors.
