The mission of ACS is to facilitate the commander’s ability to provide comprehensive, standardized, coordinated, and responsive services that support Soldiers, Department of the Army civilians, and Families regardless of geographical location. Army Community Service (ACS) delivers a wide array of family support programs and a friendly place to turn for Soldiers, families and Department of the Army
civilians who need assistance with anything from financial planning to making a permanent change of station. ACS resources help families become self-reliant and confident in their lives as part of the Army. ACS includes: Army Emergency Relief (AER); Army Family Action Plan (AFAP); Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP); Employment Readiness Program; Army Family Team Building (AFTB); Family Advocacy Program (FAP); New Parent Support Program (NPSP); Financial Readiness Program; Information, Referral and Follow-Up Program (IR&F); Mobilization, Deployment & Support Stability Operations (SSO); Relocation Services; Survivor Outreach Services (SOS); Army Volunteer Corps (AVC).
