SOS Social Media (Facebook) Update

Dear Gold Star and Survivor Families,

Prayerfully, you are doing well. I wanted to share a quick update to help you stay connected to the most current information about upcoming events, resources, and announcements.
Going forward – Survivor Outreach Services (SOS) updates and information will be shared through the DFMWR Marketing social media pages, at https://leavenworth.armymwr.com rather than through a separate SOS page. This approach allows information to be communicated in a more consistent and streamlined way across the installation.

Please know this change does not affect my commitment to you or the support available through SOS. I will continue providing event information and updates to DFMWR Marketing and remain available to assist you directly at any time.

You may also see additional DFMWR information posted alongside SOS updates, so you won’t miss helpful opportunities and activities that may be of interest to you and your family.
Thank you for your continued trust. I am honored to support.

Very respectfully,

Gregory Bailey, Sr.

Dear Gold Star and Survivor Families,

We have another great information event being hosted by Mr. Mark Dunlop, SOS Financial Counselor out of Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Please be advised and share within your Survivor communities.

Who: Military Survivors and friends are invited to dial into the next Financial “Dine and Dial” call and, to have access to some of the popular past calls that were recorded.

What: These calls, which are held at least quarterly, provide a forum for Military Survivors and friends to ask questions on education tools and to better understand techniques for identity theft minimization, saving and investing, estate planning considerations, tax issues, insurance, potential financial resources, and budgeting concerns in creating financial success and hearing from various guest presenters and other peers.

Where: The Call number is (1-605-475-5910; Access Code 7681905 #); the call originates from Ft. Leonard Wood Survivor Outreach Services. (*6 mutes or unmutes the call) and is a joint venture between the financial counselors from the Ft. Leonard Wood SOS program, and other locations.

When: The next live call is tentatively Wednesday January 21, 2025, 7:00 pm Central

Why: Many Survivors have asked for assistance in navigating potential resources, including how to better grasp potential projected positive cash flow opportunities and estate planning techniques, milestones, and scholarship programs.
