Our Broward State Attorney's Office team members, Assistant State Attorney Isis Huxable, of our Domestic Violence Unit, and our victim advocates, Courtney May and Marieliza Pietrantoni, attended the community open house for the Nancy J. Cotterman Center.

Congratulations to Rousseau Chrisostome and Kayla Bryan, the 2026 recipients of the Harold F. Pryor, Jr. Scholarship, awarded by the Charles B. Morton, Jr. South Florida Chapter of the National Black Prosecutors Association. Both have served as interns with our agency and hope to serve in South Florida when they graduate from law school.

The scholarship supports the next generation of legal leaders in the public safety and prosecutorial ranks who want to serve our community. The scholarship is named in honor of Broward State Attorney Harold F. Pryor, the first Black State Attorney in Broward County and the first Black man elected state attorney in Florida.

Congratulations also to Broward Assistant State Attorneys Jessica Etienne, Alexis Beckford, Anthony Smith, Linda Harris, and Jordana Rostant-Nunes, who were sworn in as the president, vice-president, treasurer, recording secretary, and corresponding secretary of the NBPA chapter, and to Miami-Dade Assistant State Attorney Andrew Vinson, Jr., the past president.
