In alignment with the Rebalance and Optimization of the Army Transformation Initiative, 1st Brigade Army ROTC Military College programs will be brought under new geographic brigades as part of the reorganization.

Starting 1 April 2026, the Transfer of Authority for the following Senior ROTC programs will fall under 4th Brigade Army ROTC:

+ The Citadel
+ Virginia Tech
+ Virginia Military Institute
