📸 Operation Relentless Valor | Bourbon Dustoff Supporting CCATT 🇺🇸
C/5-159 GSAB “Bourbon Dustoff” was proud to support Operation Relentless Valor — a large-scale, joint training exercise focused on the medical treatment and evacuation of patients from the point of injury to higher levels of care across the theater.

This mission showcased the seamless integration of air MEDEVAC with Critical Care Air Transport Teams (CCATT), highlighting what’s possible when multi-compo, multi-organizational assets come together with one goal: saving lives. From the battlefield to the bedside, our crews remain ready, relentless, and committed to the mission.

Crewmembers from C/5-159 GSAB “Bourbon Dustoff” landed at to connect with STEM students from the Owensboro Innovation Academy.

We talked Army aviation, shared our experiences, and answered some awesome questions during a Q&A session.

It was an honor to engage with the next generation of innovators and give them a closer look at what a career in the U.S. Army Reserves can offer.

Our mobilized detachment in Upstate NY conducting a 2120 evaluation for one of our newly RL1 Flight Paramedics, SGT Barlow. Learn more about 2120 evaluations ⬇️
A 2120 Evaluation is annual medical scenario evaluation for current RL2 and RL1 Flight Paramedics. For newly progressed Flight Paramedics, they perform two 2120 evaluations. Consisting of a critical care transfer scenario and a POI (point of injury) scenario, in flight. Annual medical scenario evaluations provide the unit with an assessment of each medic’s skill progression and knowledge retention, ensuring their continued training aligns with operational standards and experience gained over time.

At 2300 hours on November 27th, 2024, our mobilized Bourbon Dustoff detachment was launched for an urgent critical care transfer from Watertown, NY to Syracuse, NY. A female presented in active labor requiring NICU and Neuro capabilities that the sending facility did not have.

On Monday February 17, 2025, mom and family came to visit the crew that transported the patient and thank them for what they did, as well as introduce them to baby Adeline. EMS is a thankless job. This means more to the crew than you know.

Shout out to the crew for flawlessly executing this MEDEVAC.
