The Blackjack Battalion remains mission-focused during the shutdown.

This month, Soldiers of the Blackjack Battalion certified three new Master Drivers, bade farewell to CPT King, and teamed up with our sister battalion, 3-337, to participate in a post-wide dodgeball tournament hosted by ARCG.

The Soldiers of the Blackjack Battalion continue to demonstrate readiness, teamwork, and dedication in all that they do.

This weekend the Blackjack Battalion was busy with a mix of hellos, farewells, promotions, and celebrations—capped off with a family day and a pie-in-the-face auction to support the FRG.

The events kicked off Friday with the NCO of the Year Board, where SGT Fajardo earned top honors. Later that day, SSG Penn promoted SPC Erhardt to the rank of sergeant, officially welcoming him into the NCO Corps.

On Saturday, the battalion bid farewell to LTC(P) Hublick as he relinquished command to LTC Jung. Immediately after the Change of Command ceremony, LTC(P) Hublick was promoted to colonel by 4th CAV Brigade Commander COL Hull.

Sunday brought Soldiers and families together for a day of food, camaraderie, and fun. The highlight was an auction benefiting the Family Readiness Group, where leaders and staff members took pies to the face in good spirits—helping raise more than $700. The weekend closed with well-deserved awards recognizing outstanding Soldiers for their dedication and contributions to the unit’s success.

Our Soldiers knocked out a 5K (3.2-mile) ruck march around the Fort Knox cantonment this morning. Everyone who started, finished—holding a steady 15:00 min/mile pace and wrapping it up in under an hour. Proud, motivated, and mission-ready.

The Blackjack Battalion wrapped up Annual Training FY25 with a day of co****le, good food, and great company. Over the past 15 days, we improved maintenance readiness, qualified on individual weapons, trained on the M17 pistol, tackled the obstacle course, fired the MK19 gr***de launcher, and endured the gas chamber. We completed more than a dozen convoys without a single injury or loss of sensitive items, maintaining 100% accountability throughout. This AT was a clear success, thanks to the hard work and resilience of every Soldier.

Today was scheduled to be split training starting with rappelling at Thunderbolt Tower this morning, but Mother Nature decided to crash the party and force us to cancel that event. The Soldiers did partake in the obstacle course this afternoon and even had a competition between platoons.
