The Transition Assistance Program (TAP), formerly known as SFL-TAP, provides Soldiers with counseling, employment, and education workshops, as well as seminars that help prepare Soldiers to successfully transition off of active duty. The program provides tools and resources to help Soldiers make informed career decisions, be competitive in the workforce, and continue to provide positive contributi
ons to their community after completing their active duty service. Family members and DA Civilians are also eligible for these services. Army Transition Assistance Program (TAP) is a "commander's program" that requires leadership involvement during a Soldier's transition process. All Soldiers with 180 days of continuous active duty service, and not in a training status, are required to meet the Veterans Opportunity to Work (VOW) compliance and complete Career Readiness Standards (CRS). Soldiers should attend TAP 18 months prior to transition and 24 months prior for retirees. Contact your local TAP Center, visit the Virtual Center at www.sfl-tap.army.mil, or call 1-800-325-4715 to start today. User Terms and Agreement:
