W**D ARMY COMMUNITY HOSPITAL TRANSITION - RIBBON CUTTING. The National Training Center and Fort Irwin will host a ribbon cutting ceremony Thurs., Sept. 21, officially opening a new $210.9 million Army hospital here, the only LEED Platinum, carbon neutral, net-zero certifiable hospital within the Department of Defense. Transition: The Mary E. Walker Clinic, Behavior Health Department and W**d Army Community Hospital will undergo a transition in three phases. SPOUSES FORUM. Join the 916th Support Brigade as they discuss what resources are available on the installation. This spouses forum will be on Sept. 5 from 9am - 12pm at the Ingalls Rec Center. Services from Army Community Services, MWR, and other agencies will be on hand to answer questions. We encourage all new and even experienced NTC spouses to attend. Breakfast and free childcare will be provided!
SPOUSES / EMPLOYEE BOX TOUR. The next Spouses / Employee Box tour is scheduled for Fri., Sept. 8 from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Check-in begins at the Exchange parking lot at 8:30 a.m. Experience firsthand how our America’s warriors prepare for deployment.

9-11 WALK OF REMEMBRANCE AND CHAPEL SERVICE. The Fort Irwin community is invited to participate in in a 9-11 Walk of Remembrance from Army Field on Inner Loop Road to the Post Chapel to remember the bravery, courage, and humanity shown that day, and the many that have followed. The remembrance service will take place on Mon., Sept. 11, 10 -11:30 am.
