Good afternoon Tarantula Family. It’s been a while since our last post but we have some catching up to do.

On 29 June 2020 the Tarantula Team dedicated their newest Point In the Desert (PID) “Tabin’s Tap House” in honor of our current T03 MAJ Patrick “Tweak” Tabin.

The PID was approved be the prestigious belt buckle board and created by T15 CPT Jordan Peck and T27 CPT Steve Canjura. The creators also spray painted a Scorpion 🦂 on the back on his PID to pay homage to his time served in the desert as Scorpion 13 and 03A from June 2011 - January 2013.

Any Tarantula who has served with MAJ Tabin can attest to his love for a good cold pint and what better monument to honor him with then his own tap out in the depths of the box. Every Tarantula OC/T could use a visit to this remote destination for a refreshing drink... of water.

Congratulations MAJ Tabin and thank you for all your sacrifices and contributions to the Tarantula Team and the National Training Center. You make everyone who comes in proximity of you a better OC/T.

The Tarantula Team got back under canopy today. It was a beautiful day to partner with the VGMR 352 KC-130 crew for this operation. Looking Forward to more opportunities as we move forward. Airborne! Operations Group, National Training Center

The NTC/Fort Irwin Commanding General, BG David A. Lesperance, modified his Stay at Home policy memo to adjust curfew hours. There is no longer a curfew on post. However, there remains a curfew with respect to the Access Control Point (ACP) which is between 2300 and 0400. To assist in stopping the spread of COVID-19, civilian family members residing with a Soldier are strongly encouraged to abide by this curfew and all COVID-19 related policies.

All other precautionary measures to safeguard our community remain in effect.
