3rd Party Housing Inspections

We are asking for the community's help ensuring an adult is present during the duration of a scheduled inspection window. Unfortunately, due to the number of inspections that need to be completed within a three week window, there is no ability to change or reschedule inspections.

In the event nobody is home during a scheduled inspection, a 24 hour notice will be posted and the home will be inspected the next business day with an es**rt. Please note that all no shows are reported to the military chain of command daily.

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind the community to ensure pets are secured during the inspection.

We understand the inconvenience these inspections may cause and appreciate everyone's patience and support as we collectively meet this congressionally mandated housing inspection requirement.

The Congressionally required 3rd Party Housing Inspection scheduling application is open. We would like to thank the 45% of residents have logged on and scheduled their inspection! For those that have not scheduled yet, please do not wait to schedule your inspection. The sooner you schedule, the more options you will have as appointment slots are filling up fast. Important to remember the schedule application will close Mar 10th. Once closed, you will no longer be able to schedule an appointment, and your home will be automatically scheduled by RER for the next available slot. In those instances, a Right to Entry notice signed by the installation Garrison Commander will be issued and an es**rt (Military or DA Civilian) will be provided to accompany the 3rd party inspector when they inspect your home.

We understand this requirement may cause inconveniences and appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we work together to meet the Congressional requirement for every home to be inspected.

The Lead service line inventory for Fort Irwin and Barstow Daggett will be available for public viewing at Building 602 on 5th Street.
