The USO Camp Aachen recognized SGT Zack Thompson as the USO Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) Volunteer of the Quarter! SGT Thompsom has volunteered well over 250+ hours at the Camp Aachen USO while being deployed in Europe!

Please join us in celebrating USO EMEA Regional Volunteer of Quarter 2, Zack Thompson, who is an active-duty service member assigned to 553 Bravo Company Sustainment BDE. His service to our country is certainly honorable, and his commitment to support the USO mission, not only at our Camp Aachen center, but also at several Eastern Europe support events, is honorable as well! Zack has volunteered for many large community programs, provided center support when our teams were shorthanded or on mission, and recruited and trained several new volunteers. Zack exhibits a kind and outgoing demeanor and connects easily with everyone he works alongside. USO EMEA certainly appreciates the more than 500 hours of volunteer service he has provided since October 2021. Congrats and thank you Zack!

Congratulations to CPL Galarza and SPC Jackson on their re-enlistment 🇺🇸 They both were able to get their first station of choice and both received a large bonus to continue their service in the United States Army!

SPC Daniel Montiel was Promoted from Private First Class to Specialist 🇺🇸

SPC Zaragoza was awarded a coin from our commander, CPT Poinsette for showing leadership “in the absence of orders”. We applaud you on taking initiative!! 🇺🇸

As the “Bandits” close out April and welcome the month of May 🌷💐 we are nearing the end of our dynamic European rotation!

Here are some key moments that happened during April! ✨

Mrs. Dana Abella of the 18th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, CSSB SFRG delivered a Spring Basket to the B Co TOC to add some “Spring Cheer” to Camp Aachen

B Co Bandits participated in the Warhammer Challenge during “Warhammer Week”! Leaders and Soldiers carried water jugs and completed challenging physical fitness exercises as a TEAM while fostering esprit de corps across the battalion! 🇺🇸🇩🇪

PFC Axel Sandoval was recognized by U.S. Army Garrison Bavaria as being nominated as the 2021 Volunteer of the Year in the Active Duty Service member category. Many Bandits across the company volunteer countless hours as a way to give back to the local community and pass the time. ⏰✨

2022 Denim Day- C&E and Armament sections wear denim to support of 18th CSSBs SHARP initiatives.

Lastly, we ended the month with a Company BBQ and some reintegration training. This included LT Boisvert and SSG Dowms providing useful reintegration information to Soldiers and Leaders as we prepare for redeployment. Almost there Bandits! 💯

PFC Axel Sandoval had the honor of cutting the birthday cake for USO Grafenwoehr’s Re-Opening Celebration & USO Birthday Celebration on Friday, February 4th.

PFC Sandoval was recognized by BG Hilbert, 7th Army Training Command Commanding General and COL Danbeck, USAG Grafenwoehr Garrison Commander for serving over 300 volunteer hours at the USO Camp Aachen and being one of the youngest Active Duty volunteers.

Great work, PFC Sandoval! Many “Bandits” volunteer and utilize the amenities of USO Camp Aachen to unwind and reconnect with families stateside.

Maintenance and Recovery Operations are never pretty! But, with a dedicated team of professionals, the job will get done!

SGT Olson and PFC Salterelli answered the call and performed recovery operations in support of units training at the Hohenfels Training Area (HTA). They sprung into action when called so the unit could continue training.

SGTs Biem, Wolfe and Zetterberg along with PFC Ross diligently worked to install a “high priority” part on an M978 fueler in preparation for continued mission support.

Rain , Sleet or Snow, “Bandit” mechanics will get the job done! Great work Troopers! 💪🏾
