June Recap:

This month we were able to recognize Troopers for their excellence in a few different ways.

- SSG Arriaga promoted from SGT to SSG.
- We said hello to CPT Everett, and goodbye to CPT Sweet.
- SPC Tando and PFC Perez got the opportunity to attend the Joint Emergency Medicine Exercise (JEMX)
- SSG Dechant graduated from Drill Sergeant school.
- SSG Elliott and SGT Brown received the first two new Scalpel Troop coins for their amazing performance as Spur Ride lanewalkers.
- Our spurholder population gew in size after earning their silver spurs.
- CPL Casoni graduated BLC and promoted from SPC to CPL.
- The Troop said goodbye to CPL Meredith and gave her a parting plaque award.
- LT Davila reenlisted SPC Ward!

As February came to an end, Scalpel Troop celebrated those who had a February Birthday. We also had the opportunity to support our adopted school, Union Grove Middle School, in their Big Art day, which raises awareness on the impact of Art on the community. Scalpel Troop said goodbye to SGT Ireri and started celebrating the many Birthdays we have in March!

Last week some of Scalpel Troop was able to volunteer at their partnered school, Union Grove Middle School, and participate in the "WIN" (what I need activities). Troopers participated in boys to men discussions, bracelet making, crocheting, and comic books. Keep leading the way!

Over the past two weeks, Scalpel Troop completed a 3-day immersive training at the People First Center where we learned about valuable resources and more importantly, became a more cohesive team. This week, Scalpel Troop conducted day and night land navigation and is preparing for weapon qualification next week.
