Myth or Fact?

❌ Myth: Only combat veterans can qualify for VA disability.
✅ Fact: Service connection can apply to injuries or conditions caused by training, accidents, exposure for both combat and non-combat veterans.

The Veteran Services Bureau is staffed by nationally accredited Veteran Service Officers (VSOs) who assist veterans in securing federal VA benefits, compensation, healthcare, and more.

No. All MVAD Veteran Support Services, including meeting with a VSO, filing claims, and benefit guidance, are at no-cost for veterans and their families.

Congratulations to the nine Montana veterans, and thank you for your dedicated service to our country and your contributions to the community. 💙

Nine veterans were recognized at the Montana Veterans Memorial in Great Falls on Aug. 19 for service that continued long after their military careers ended.

From small towns to community events, our team works hard to keep Veterans connected to the support they’ve earned.

Brenna, our Helena VSO Supervisor, shares:
“Outreach is about showing up for our communities and Veterans. When they can’t make it to us, we find ways to come together. Being involved across the state reminds me of the impact Montana Veterans have — and I love being out in the community with everyone.”
