The AGCRA Anne Arundel Chapter had an outstanding Military Appreciation Day & CSU Scholarship Brief today!

Thank you to Dave Cyr, Army Strategic Advisor for Columbia Southern University, for briefing our members — both in-person and virtually — on scholarship opportunities available for AGCRA members and their dependents.

Members enjoyed free lunch, networking, fellowship, and discussions on chapter membership while celebrating Military Appreciation Month together. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the event!

🌟Recognizing Our Members🌟

Please join the Anne Arundel Chapter in congratulating CPT Yessenia Sanchez on her promotion to Captain, effective 1 May 2026. The promotion ceremony was beautifully conducted at Fort McHenry National Monument, presided by her Battalion Commander, LTC Pamela L. Bracey.

Prior enlisted and commissioned through the Green to Gold Program, this promotion was especially meaningful as it marked the first time CPT Sanchez’s family, traveling from Delaware, was able to attend one of her promotions. Having previously been overseas during each milestone advancement, this ceremony carried even greater significance for both her and her loved ones.

Congratulations, CPT Sanchez! Your Anne Arundel Chapter family is proud of you and excited to see your continued success.

Today’s AGCRA Anne Arundel Chapter Coffee & Connection session was a powerful example of what mentorship and collaboration look like within the HR community.

We had an outstanding turnout as seasoned military and civilian HR professionals came together to answer questions, share experiences, and provide guidance to junior HR professionals navigating their careers. The conversations were insightful, authentic, and filled with practical tools that we can all take back to our organizations and teams.

This is what the AG Corps and AGCRA are all about — developing people, sharing knowledge, and building each other up. What an impactful way to start the weekend!

Recognizing Our Members

SSG Jesse Kim was formally recognized on 22 April for his outstanding performance while assigned to the Joint Field Support Center. His dedication, professionalism, and impact have made a lasting difference across the organization.

He will remain in the area as he transitions into his new role as the Battalion S1 NCOIC for the Washington D.C.–Baltimore Recruiting Battalion.
