Congratulations to SGT Titcomb and SPC Dorr Kastner on attaining promotable status. Their disciplined preparation, commitment to excellence, and sustained hard work were clearly demonstrated throughout the process. Recognition is also due to their leadership, SFC Hare and SSG Brown, whose mentorship, rigorous preparation, and unwavering support were instrumental in their success. Outstanding work by all involved in representing LEA–Fort Meade with professionalism and distinction at the HCB promotion board.

Another day has passed and another fantastic NCO is unfortunately leaving our ranks, thankfully though this time SSG Riggs is continuing his career as a 25E (Electromagnetic Spectrum Manager). Today not only did SSG Riggs receive his PCS award, he also was promoted in accordance with the SMAP program due to graduating his MOS school. SSG Riggs has continuously proven and shown what it means to be a professional soldier, whether participating in competition after competition or furthering his tactics and skills on his own personal time SSG Riggs puts in the work!

Thank you to those of you who could join us in the sad but well deserved ETS award ceremony for SGT Donahue. SGT Donahue has spent his 5 years of service with us at Fort Meade and his impact and leadership has drastically increased the entire time. SGT Donahue did not allow his rank to be a limiting factor and has continuously been the SME for leadership eschlons beyond his level. Although SGT Donahue is leaving the Military Police Corps he will continue to “Assist, Protect, and Defend” through his future in civilian Law Enforcement.

Unfortunately today we had to say goodbye to a fantastic NCO and true definition of a leader, SGT Nelson. Thankfully, he is transitioning to the National Guard and will continuing mentoring soldiers for years to come back in his home state of Kentucky. Thank you SGT Nelson for all of the intelligence, experience, and leadership you have provided in your 5 years with our Detachment!!!!

Thank you to all of the soldiers, civilians, and family members able to attend our Casing of the colors ceremony on 30 September 2024 officially closing the reign of the 241st Military Police Detachment and allowing the unit to be redesignated as Law Enforcement Activity Meade. Our name may have changed but our mission will always remain the same.
