🎖️ Semper Fi and Fair Winds, Master Sgt. Berentsen 🎖️

Yesterday, Joint Task Force Civil Support had the opportunity to present U.S. Marine Corps Master Sgt. Brent Berentsen with a departing gift fitting for a Marine as he prepares for his next chapter.

Throughout his time at the command he brought unmatched professionalism, leadership, and the kind of motivation only a Marine can deliver. Whether supporting the mission, mentoring teammates, or keeping standards high, his impact across the formation will not be forgotten.

While we’re sad to see him go, we know he’ll continue doing great things wherever the mission takes him next. Thank you for your dedication, hard work, and service to the team.

Once a Marine, always a Marine — Semper Fidelis, Master Sgt. Berentsen, and best of luck at your next command! 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 Command PT – Murph Challenge 🇺🇸

Today, members of Joint Task Force Civil Support came together for this month’s Command PT event by taking on the “Murph” Challenge in honor of Memorial Day.

The Murph Challenge is a workout dedicated to U.S. Navy SEAL Lt. Michael P. Murphy, who was killed in action in Afghanistan on June 28, 2005, during Operation Red Wings. Awarded the Medal of Honor for his heroic actions and selfless sacrifice, Lt. Murphy’s legacy continues to inspire service members and communities across the nation.

Today’s workout consisted of:

1-mile run
100 pull-ups
200 push-ups
300 air squats
1-mile run

More than just a physical challenge, the Murph serves as a reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and commitment demonstrated by the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As Memorial Day approaches, we honor and remember our fallen heroes whose sacrifices continue to protect the freedoms we enjoy today.
