Memory changes are easy to explain away. A missed appointment, a name that won't come, a wrong turn on a familiar road — most of us chalk these up to a busy week or getting older. Sometimes that's exactly what they are. But memory loss that starts to disrupt daily life is not a normal part of aging and knowing the difference matters.
