To streamline communication and better serve our customers, our unit updates on Army contracting news and information will now be shared through the headquarters social media—our organization's physical location remains the same.

By Feb. 26, 2026, the MICC will consolidate its social media presence of all subordinate pages under the MICC headquarters in accordance with Secretary of the Army Directive 2025‑25. This transition will ensure MICC social media platforms are a more reliable source for news and information about Army contracting across the continental United States.

Streamlining our unit pages ensures followers receive consistent, accurate and timely updates — direct from the highest level of the MICC command. By speaking with one authoritative voice, the MICC can better highlight the issues that matter most to our customers, mission partners, Soldiers, and Army Civilians. Consolidation also removes outdated or duplicate accounts and strengthens the quality, clarity, and impact of MICC communication.

When this social media transformation is complete, MICC content creators at all levels within the command, across 30 MICC locations worldwide, will work together to provide a unified, simplified and trustworthy single source across four social media platforms, to deliver vital information required to understand the MICC’s mission, contracting priorities & opportunities, and our impact on Warfighters through the power of Army Contracting.

Last week the team lucked out with B-E-A-utiful weather to execute a tailgate all-hands and team builder before buckling down into the September push. In NNY, the weather can turn in an instant but the sun shined perfectly. The event included:
✅ Hail of two new soldier teammates
✅ Farewell of one of our S2P2 teammates and mil spouses. Fort Benning is gaining a good one!
✅ Teammates decked out in fan gear
✅ Co****le tournament
✅ Tailgate themed cookout
✅ Putting our Deputy and interim SGM in the dunk tank to go for a swim

In partnership with USAG - Fort Drum, the MICC provides quarterly nominations to the Garrison Civilian of the Quarter ceremony. We would like to highlight our nominees for FY25Q2 and FY25Q3. Lyndsie Hall from our Installation Team (Q2) and Alesia (CC) Colton from our S2P2 team (Q3) have acted as force multipliers for the warfighter through contracting actions. You both have excelled in showcasing your contracting skills, knowledge, and ability for innovation. Keep up the great work!

The 925th CBn and MICC Fort Drum does not slow down in Q4. We continue to award quality contracts at a rapid pace, but also take time to ensure our workforce is trained by getting back to the basics. The Deputy to the Commander, Mr. Anthony Sligar, leads a deep dive into the FAR course every quarter for the new personnel and anyone looking to freshen up on understanding the “whys” behind our processes and procedures.

We may be late to the game in posting for all to see, but that doesn’t mean we don’t appreciate the deep impact these five soldiers had on our organization. PCS season was in full force for the 925th CBn during July. We were honored to farewell members of our team and wish them well in their next assignments.
Best of luck to:

The 2025 DoD Northeast Regional Council Conference & Matchmaker was held in Rochester, NY on August 12–13, hosted by the Monroe County Finger Lakes (MCFL) APEX Accelerator. Mr. Anthony Sligar, Deputy to the Commander of the 925th CBn and MICC - Fort Drum, attended the event, which brought together government agencies, prime contractors, and industry leaders to strengthen and support a resilient defense industrial base.

The conference was opened by Congressman Joseph Morelle (NY-25), who delivered remarks that set the tone for two days of collaboration, innovation, and networking.

Mr. Sligar served as a panel member for the “Doing Business with Small Business Offices” discussion, providing valuable information and guidance to small businesses on how to engage with the Department of Defense and succeed in the federal marketplace.
