Fort Drum TAP is incredibly grateful for the strength and support of our community — and today we want to spotlight someone who embodies that spirit every day. Rod Castillo, U.S. veteran and founder of Breaking Cyber, continues to pour his expertise, leadership, and heart into building the next generation of cybersecurity talent. From mentoring CSP interns to guiding students through his immersive 2 Day Cybersecurity & AI Learning Series, Rod is creating real opportunities and opening real doors.

His commitment to service didn’t end with his military career — it simply evolved. Now he’s serving our community in a new way: by empowering young people with the skills, confidence, and mindset to thrive in the cyber world.
We’re proud to partner with Rod, grateful for his continued service, and excited to see the impact he’s making across our community.

Thank you, Rod — and thank you to everyone who supports this mission. Together, we’re building something meaningful.

Lindsay’s transition journey is a powerful example of what’s possible when preparation meets opportunity. After completing both TAP and the Career Skills Program, she stepped confidently into the civilian workforce—and today, she’s a hiring manager with one of our region’s largest employers.
Her story came full circle when she returned to support our very first Ask an HR Manager workshop. Lindsay shared candid insights, practical advice, and the kind of real world perspective that only someone who has walked the path can offer.
Her success reminds our service members that TAP isn’t just a requirement—it’s a launchpad. And leaders like Lindsay show how far that launch can take you.
