On 08 May 2026, the University of Maine Black Bear Battalion commissioned four Second Lieutenants. In attendance was Major General Diane Dunn, the Adjutant General of the Maine National Guard and Commissioner of the Department of Defense, Veterans and Emergency Management, as well as the Maine State Command Sergeant Major, Kameel Farag.

Princeton Army ROTC honors the commissioning of Princeton ROTC (Army, Air Force, Space Force) graduates as officers in the United States Armed Forces and celebrates their commitment to a lifetime of service and leadership.

The Joint Commissioning Ceremony was held Tuesday, May 26th, 2026 in the Faculty Room in Nassau Hall at Princeton University. Brig. Gen. Grant S. Fawcett, a Class of 1996 alumnus who was commissioned through Princeton’s ROTC program, served as the keynote speaker. Surrounded by friends, family, fellow cadets, mentors and Cadre, they took their oath of office and were pinned as Second Lieutenants.
