Last week was the JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl in Washington D.C. at the Catholic University of America! This event is a nationally recognized, all-service competition designed to challenge cadets on their educational aptitude, curriculum knowledge, and leadership skills while helping to prepare them for higher education and college entrance exams.

Congratulations to Francis Lewis High School and Thomas Edison CTE who placed first 🥇 and second 🥈 respectively in the leadership competition! This component of tests cadets on JROTC-specific knowledge, including military ranks, the chain of command, and leadership principles.

Way to go Cadets! 👏👏👏👏

: The application for the National High School Scholarship opened over the weekend! 📝

To be eligible for any ROTC , applicants must:

✅ Be a U.S. Citizen.
✅ Be at least 17 and under 31 in year of commissioning.
✅ Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
✅ Have an unweighted high school GPA of at least 2.50 if you’re in high school while applying.
✅ Have taken the SAT or ACT.
✅ Take the Army Fitness Test (AFT).
✅ Meet the physical weight and height requirements.
✅ Agree to accept a commission and serve in the United States Army, Army Reserve, or Army National Guard.

The Nathan Hale Battalion proudly hosted its commissioning ceremony on May 11, 2026 honoring the dedication and leadership of our newest Second Lieutenants. The ceremony marked a milestone in the officers' transition from cadets to leaders preparing to serve across the U.S. Army. 🇺🇸

Major General Francis J. Evon, Jr., Adjutant General of the Connecticut National Guard, administered the oath of office with Brigadier General Michael J. Sipples, Assistant Adjutant General - Army, also in attendance to welcome the new officers.

The Tiger Battalion commissioning ceremony for the Class of 2026 took place during on May 9, 2026 at SHED Glass Box Theater during RIT's Commencement Weekend. During this event, graduating cadets took the Oath of Office to become Second Lieutenants.

The Royal Warrior Battalion recently commissioned the next generation of Army officers during the RWB's Spring Commissioning Ceremony! 8 cadets were honored at an on-campus ceremony, held Saturday, May 23, 2026 at the McIlhenny Ballroom inside the DeNaples Center at the University of Scranton.
