After entering the Davis Mountains State Park and coming around the bend, you see the pristine white, multi level, pueblo style building against the mountains above Keesey Canyon and you know that you have arrived at the closest semblance of paradise Mother Nature can provide. The view of dawn through Keesey and Limpia Canyons from the vantage of the historic adobe balcony reminds guests that with the hustle and bustle of urban life, a favorable alternative exists with this historical Texas treasure called Indian Lodge. For over 70 years, the terraced adobe structure has provided the setting for what lingers so vividly in countless memories. Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, through its dedicated stewards, preserves this scenic landmark for the education and enjoyment of the citizens and visitors of Texas. Customer service and an on-going dedication to create stellar customer experiences are the primary motivation for continued product and service enhancements.

We want your stories!

Do you have a family member who:

- worked for the CCC company responsible for building the historic sections of the Indian Lodge or Skyline Drive?
- worked at the Lodge or park during the 1930s - 1960s?
- still has photos from that time period?

If so, let us know. Thanks
