SRFSN is user-driven, where scientists and managers work together on critical wildland fire issues. We are committed to two-way communication, serving as neutral science partners using workshops, field trips, webinars, demonstration sites, social media and digital communication to draw together divergent research and resource-management cultures, citizens and community groups to develop solutions
to our regions’ fire issues. SRFSN is one of 14 national consortia funded through a grant from the Joint Fire Science Program: an interagency research, development, and applications partnership.
