Comanche Troop showcased true grit and determination during the 4-10CAV Spur Ride, completing a grueling 35-mile course, and demonstrating exceptional physical fitness and cavalry skills. We proudly welcome our 17 new spur holders and look forward to our shave tails earning their spurs at the next ride.

đŸ’„Esprit De CorpsđŸ’„

This week Comanche Troop held a Esprit de Corps week to foster a greater bond between all members of the tribe.

We first held an NCO of the Quarter Competition, testing the top NCOs of our troop on their physical and academic talents. Congratulations to SGT Braswell of White Platoon!

We then held a Blitzball Tournament, with teams from each platoon and section demonstrating athletic prowess. Congratulations to HQ section led by our very own Commander and 1SG!

We wrapped things up with the Quanah Trials. The Quanah Trials is a best squad competition honoring the rich history of the Comanche Nation and the last great Chief, “Chief Quanah Parker”. Congratulations to White Platoon for besting everyone!

🎓School of Scout!🎓

This past week Comanche and Blackfoot Troop combined their efforts and held the first annual School of Scout!

With a training audience of specialist to sergeant, they were trained in advanced scouting skills necessary in their jobs as team leaders/future team leaders.

The training covered a wide array of scout skills including Route Classification, TCCC, Improvised Comms, Patrol Base Operations, Actions on Contact, and so much more!

Working together, across different troops, allowed for a diverse array of knowledge and experiences to be welded into an exceptional training event for our soldiers.

The past couple weeks, Comanche Troop took part in Immediate Response ‘24, a joint NATO training exercise with the 12th ABCT, 3rd UK Division. The troop brought violence in all its missions during this training, including a wet gap crossing, mounted and dismounted maneuver, and cross country recovery operations. The soldiers of Comanche Troop improved their resiliency and lethality everyday.

We always like to show you the big events with the big booms and large explosions. However, this week we recognize all the behind the scenes work and training required to get us ready to show off the big guns. It’s starts with maintenance. Our mechanics, the true heroes of battle, fight day and night to get our equipment right. Next it’s training. It’s training to take care of wounded soldiers, to save a life. It’s training on our base weapons systems, so that when called upon, our soldiers are ready. And finally, it ends with physical fitness. Knowing that if you need carry a battle buddy, run to an objective, or carry equipment, that you’ll be ready. Comanche Troop is constantly doing everything it can to bring the violence and protect the tribe!

The time has come. Comanche Troop says goodbye to Comanche 7, 1SG Deshaun White.

We thank 1SG White for everything he has done for this troop. His daily sacrifices, incredible work ethic, and his commitment to always finding light in the darkest of times is what made Comanche Troop the way it is today.

It is often said that NCOs are the backbone of the Army. Yet what’s forgotten are the people who make NCOs. 1SG White’s unwavering dedication to coach, mentor, and instill discipline in the soldiers of Comanche Troop is the reason we have these NCOs holding the line all over the Army.

We also welcome 1SG Austin Szabelak as the new Comanche 7. These are some big boots to fill, but we know you’re the right man for the job. 1SG Szabelak brought the violence as Riot Platoon’s PSG and will protect the tribe as Comanche Troop 1SG.

Bring the Violence! Comanche Troop took its Bradleys to the gunnery range and conducted the steps in order to execute its qualification shoot next week! We had some stormy weather, but as always it ended with a rainbow. Also we found out that there were some hidden athletes amongst us during an impromptu baseball game! Stay tuned for next week’s post for some loud booms and bangs! Protect the Tribe!
