C CO Families,
If you would like to hang banners for redeployment ceremonies there are a few options. You may hang banners on the Academy bridge walkway or the Fort Carson fencing. Banners hung in these locations need to be removed within 24 hours. You can also have banners hung at the Special Events Center. Please put your name on the banner. The staff there will hang your banner for you if you let them know when the ceremony is and pick it up within 48 hours of the ceremony.

Good Morning Crusader Family from beautiful KU! Today on CDRs Corner I'll be highlighting the many accomplishments of the CO to include our latest Crusader's of the Week (COTW).

In recent news, the CO is continuing on with our partnership events taking Gold in KU Ninja Warrior (Obstacle Course). A team of Health Care Specialists/NCOs instructed a myriad of MED TNG focused on basic first responder techniques in treatment while building relations with our KU partners. Plus, it's also a time for our young Soldier Medics to showcase their skills at instructing which all our Crusaders continue to do- Rise to the Challenge! Job well done to all in the CO and we'll coontinue with the mission until it's time to head back to our loved ones.

Now to our Crusader's of the Week:

1. PFC Larry Collier- Excellent Soldier out of EVAC PLT who has been serving as a MED instructor during multiple MED TNG events. PFC Collier arrived to the unit prior to the deployment and he has grown to become a fine Health Care Specialist and Soldier. In his spare time he trys to lift up the gym with his "Avenger" Buddies in EVAC PLT. As some may know in the CO he is our resident "Hulk" fan and you can definitely spot him in the dining facility sporting the jolly green giant t-shirt.

2. SGT Alexandria Perez- Newly promoted NCO (long time coming like many Soldiers in the CO). SGT Perez is the nerve center for TNG in the CO and she runs the shop with an Ironfist, so DO NOT get in her way when it comes to TNG management. She is the BEST TNG Room NCO in the BCT and that was evident during our last Brigade Inspection. Her attention to detail led the battalion in receiving a commendable rating for all training management.

Congrats to our COTW and there will be many more to come! Thank you to all our family, friends, and loved ones near and far from KU! We can't wait to be home safely with you all...Take care!

V/R,

CPT Diaz
