A quick look at our Battalion PT competition this morning, which is part of our Battalion Leader Professional Development (LPD) series.
The physical competition, consisting of events commemorative of Operation Overlord, is in preparation for our upcoming Battalion Staff Ride to the beaches of Normandy this summer.
Today’s LPD is titled “Eagle Reach.” It’s focused on educating our leaders on how the Battalion actually fights and how we can extend our operational reach through logistical support and ground lines of communication to ultimately go further, faster, and maintain the initiative when it matters most.

Our Soldier of the week is PFC Evan Foskitt!
Evan is a Bradley Gunner in 2nd Platoon. Last week during Bradley crew qualification, he qualified with the highest score in his platoon and the second highest score in the entire company (901/1000 - Distinguished). While his section leader was on leave this week, PFC Foskitt stepped up and showed his leadership potential as he assumed additional responsibilities during gunnery after-operations maintenance and recovery.
Have a great weekend!

Congrats to PFC Demoro, our Soldier of the week!
PFC Demoro is originally from Linwood, Kansas, and has been in Assault Company since February of 2022. He currently serves as an M240 machine gunner in 1st Platoon. Over the past week, he qualified on the newly fielded SDMR (squad designated marksman rifle) and was the 1st Soldier in the Company to qualify on the M240. He’s been a go-to Soldier in 1st Platoon, constantly stepping up and setting the example for Soldiers throughout the Company.

Congrats to our Soldier of the Week, CPL Paisley (feat. his best buds, CPL Carmona and SPC Ibrahim).
CPL Paisley serves as a team leader in 3rd PLT, and has been an impressive young leader in our company for awhile. CPL Paisley’s most recent accomplishment was his company-wide high score of a 597/600 on our ACFT. We appreciate his hard work and commitment to leading from the front!
Have a great weekend!

Congrats to SPC Davis Murphy- this week’s Assault Company Soldier of the Week!
SPC Murphy hails from Humble, TX and has been with Assault Company for a couple of months. In just a short time as our 2nd PLT medic, SPC Murphy has excelled and embraced his new roll as not only a medic, but a member of an infantry company. SPC Murphy’s casualty care proficiency is unmatched and his ability to share his robust skill set with our infantrymen and women has been incredibly impressive. SPC Murphy has demonstrated a high level of physical fitness and has quickly become a friend and trusted peer to so many of our junior Soldiers.
In his free time, SPC Murphy enjoys MMA, shooting, and going to the gym while also remaining active in his local church community. We’re incredibly thankful to have SPC Murphy in Assault Company, and we’re proud of the Soldier and leader he is.
As always, please have a safe and relaxing weekend!

PFC Patrick Rendleman is this week’s Assault Company Soldier of the Week! PFC Rendleman’s first year in Assault Company has been marked with lots of changes, and has also been incredibly busy. At each turn, PFC Rendleman has made himself available to help carry the company towards success while also demonstrating strong leadership potential. Most recently, PFC Rendleman was promoted to be the company executive officer’s Bradley gunner and has assisted in the mentorship of some of our newer Bradley crew members.
PFC Rendleman is a very proud Ohioan, calling Edgerton, OH home and enjoys building legos, running and playing video games in his free time.
Congratulations to PFC Rendleman and we hope everyone on spring break and leave has a great week off!

Back this week with SPC Alex Freel as our Soldier of the Week!
SPC Freel calls Hoffman Estates (right outside of Chicago), IL home and has been with Assault Company for a year and a half now. SPC Freel’s experience as a SAW gunner and uncanny ability to grasp difficult concepts rapidly was on full display this week as he assisted his fellow Assault Soldiers at our individual weapon qualification ranges. SPC Freel is intelligent, calm under pressure and incredibly physically fit. A leader amongst his peers, our junior Soldiers look up to him as a valued member of our team.
Not many know, but SPC Freel joined the Army after graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a B.S. in Physics. In his free time, SPC Freel enjoys relaxing and unwinding by playing video games. We’re incredibly thankful for his selfless choice to serve, and are sure glad he’s an Assault Company Soldier.
Happy (early) St. Patrick’s Day- have a great weekend!

Congratulations to our Soldier of the week, SPC Steve Da Cunha!
SPC Da Cunha calls Newark, DE home and came to us a year and a half ago. Since his arrival, SPC Da Cunha has built a reputation on making a difference. No matter what’s placed in front of him, SPC Da Cunha gets the job done and achieves at a high level. Most recently, SPC Da Cunha made the difficult transition from one of the company’s SAW gunners to running our training room. As an infantryman, SPC Da Cunha’s impressive ability to rapidly transition to an administrative-heavy job has significantly helped the company remain on track and organized in all clerical and administrative areas. As a company, we recognize this as the job nobody wants to do, but also a job that requires an immense amount of talent. SPC Da Cunha has proven to be just the guy for the job, and we’d like to recognize him today, not only for his remarkable work, but his positive attitude and willingness to sacrifice his desires for the greater good of the company.
When not at work (which, these days, feels like a rare occurrence), SPC Da Cunha enjoys baking and cooking, hiking and biking. We salute you, SPC Da Cunha, and thank you for all you do!
As always, wishing our Soldiers, families and followers a safe and relaxing weekend (don’t forget to roll your clocks forward on Saturday night for those of you still living in the analog clock era)!

Back by popular demand- our Assault Company Soldier of the Week program!

This week’s Soldier of the week is SGT Keanu Blue. SGT Blue hails from Maxton, NC, is a new arrival to Assault Company and is serving as one of our Bradley Commanders. Despite being a new leader in the company, SGT Blue has made an immediate positive impact. No matter what’s asked of SGT Blue and his Soldiers, SGT Blue gets results and encourages excellence in others with a positive attitude.
When he’s not working hard for us, SGT Blue enjoys family time with his daughters and father and working out.

Congrats to SGT Blue! Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable weekend.
