The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and U.S. Army Fort Campbell hosted a ceremony and wreath laying today at the division headquarters remembering the atrocity, honoring the lives lost and reflecting on the service of the past quarter-century since the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

“We remember today and every day that our next moment is never guaranteed. That each day comes as a gift and we spend a few moments in this solemn ceremony today to remind ourselves of how quickly that gift can be taken from us,” said Col. Pickler, “That in the span of only 102 short minutes, our nation lost 2,977 lives unexpectedly and suddenly.”

Partners in innovation 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

British soldiers visit Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Aug. 26, 2026, to learn about emerging technologies and innovative capabilities being developed across the force.

The visit gave U.S. and U.K. forces an opportunity to exchange knowledge on unmanned aircraft systems and other advanced technologies, strengthening interoperability and shared understanding between allied partners.

U.S. Army Lt. Col. William Swafford reflects on the life and legacy of Lt. Col. Nicholas D. Goshen, a former 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) G2 whose leadership, professionalism, and commitment to developing Soldiers left a lasting impact across the Army intelligence community.

Goshen died Sept. 6, 2022, of natural causes while deployed with the division to Romania.

On March 19, 2027, Fort Campbell will rename the Foundry Building (building 6751) in his honor, ensuring his legacy and the standards he set continue to inspire future generations of intelligence professionals.

Screaming Eagles assigned to the 3rd Mobile Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), built and tested generative artificial intelligence workflows alongside the Chief Digital and Artificial Intelligence Office GenAI Task Force during a command post exercise at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, Sept. 1.

The GenAI Task Force embedded with the Rakkasans ⛩️ to accelerate the integration of AI-enabled capabilities, including the Maven Smart System and GenAI.mil, into the military decision-making process, streamlining operational planning and enhancing warfighter lethality.

The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and Fort Campbell hosted the 2026 Joint Advanced Manufacturing Symposium, bringing Soldiers together with military engineers, academia and industry to turn new technology into battlefield capability.
Allied Trades Soldiers got hands-on with reverse engineering, advanced welding, CNC machining, additive manufacturing and metal casting and forging.

The mission is simple: make critical parts closer to where they’re needed, repair equipment faster and return combat power to the fight.

Soldiers with the 101st Combat Aviation Brigade, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), conducted a flyover during the Freedom 250 Grand Prix of Washington, D.C., Aug. 23, 2026.

The IndyCar Series race, held on the Washington Street Circuit, was part of events commemorating the 250th anniversary of the United States.

The heat was on, and our chefs delivered.

The 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) held the Division Culinary Senior and Junior Chef of the Year Board at Fort Campbell, Kentucky, putting top culinary specialists and noncommissioned officers to the test.

Competitors appeared before a formal board, completed a specialty proficiency exam, and showcased their craft during a garrison cook-off. Soldiers then transitioned to the field, conducting hands-on equipment maintenance and executing a tactical field feeding cook-off using assault kitchens.
