Strike Family,
We appreciate everyone who came out to the Redeployment Townhall and absolutely understand anyone who couldn’t make it. Below is a summary of some of the events/information covered from the brief:
1. Timeline once the plane lands: Once the plane hits the ground, there are still some final tasks your Soldier will have to execute before being able to finally return home. The plane will land at the PPC where the Soldiers will then commence their beginning stages of Reverse Soldier Readiness Processing (RSRP). This will consist of signing in to Fort Campbell, turning in equipment, and briefing expectations/schedules for the upcoming week. This process is estimated to take 30 minutes to 1.5 hours dependent on the number of people returning on that flight. During this time, members of 2MBCT will be continuously briefing the family members at the PPC on updates of the in-processing. After the initial in-processing is complete, we will have a welcome ceremony. You will then have the opportunity to greet your Soldier! Soldiers will then be cleared to retrieve their bags and return home with their families. OF NOTE, barracks Soldiers, regardless if their family is present, will have to utilize the Brigade transportation bus back to the barracks prior to being released to their families. Soldiers will then have the following day off if they are returning home Sunday-Thursday. If they are returning home Friday-Saturday, their first day of report will be on the coming Monday. Soldiers may have leadership that requires additional reporting requirements handled at the Battalion level. The Soldiers Privately Owned Vehicles will be available for them the day after their return from 06:30 - 09:30 am.
2. The address for the Passenger/Personnel Processing Center (PPC) is 7162 Hedgerow Ct, Fort Campbell, KY 42223. This is the location where you will be welcoming home your Soldiers.
3. Resources available at the PPC: There will be several resources available at the PPC to utilize while waiting for our Soldiers.
