The Fort Calhoun Rural Fire District Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, May 21, 2026. This will be a public meeting at the Fort Calhoun Fire Station. The agenda for said meeting is available at the home of the Secretary of the District. Board may go into a closed/executive session at any time. If questions, contact the Board Secretary at email [email protected] or evenings call 402-871-2187. Residents of the City and the Rural areas are welcome to attend.

FCFD firefighters assisted Blair Volunteer Fire & Rescue with a large field fire North of Blair. FC 620, 621, 640, and 641 assisted with fire attack and water supply.
Other responding departments included Herman, Tekamah, Kennard Fire Rescue, Arlington, Irvington Volunteer Fire Department , and Bennington Fire & Rescue.
