We are proud to recognize the recipients of the 2026 Star Citizen Awards! This special character award honors students who consistently demonstrate kindness, leadership, integrity, and respect while being a friend to all.

These students exemplify the values represented on the Star Citizen medal — trust, honor, respect, integrity, accountability, and so much more. We are incredibly proud to celebrate their outstanding character and positive impact on those around them.

The Sheriffs Safety Patrol team hosted Fort Branch Troop 246 Tiger Den and Haubstadt Troop for a Flag Raising this am. The Tigers were assisted in raising the Flag by Sheriff’s Safety Team Officers. The Tigers then did the Scout salute while performing the Pledge of Allegiance. They all did a great job!!!

Happy School Lunch Hero Day!

We are proud to celebrate the incredible SGSC cafeteria staff, truly the best around! Day in and day out, these amazing ladies do so much more than serve meals. They greet our students with smiles, keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, and make sure everyone is fueled and ready to learn.
Their hard work, kindness, and dedication do not go unnoticed. They are a vital part of our school family and play a big role in shaping each student’s day.

SRO Riley Farmer had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at Gibson Southern High School as part of their recognition of our local first responders.

It’s always a great feeling to see our community come together to support those who serve and protect. Events like this remind us how strong the Gibson Southern community truly is.

We’re proud of SRO Farmer and grateful to Gibson Southern High School for recognizing the dedication of first responders across our area.
