2 days, 10 teams, 5 events, 18 miles, only 1 WINNER...

As part of 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Panther Week, Alpha Company hosted the Best Sapper competition. Day 1 events included the following:

•Non-Standard ACFT: Partnered max repetitions on 5-minute Hand Release Push Ups, 3-minute Leg lifts, and a 2 mile run with an added water jug on the second half

•Sapper Knowledge Test

•M4/M240B/M249 Weapon assembly/disassembly, and functions check lane

•Poncho raft & swim

•Timber cutting practical examination

•Knots Test

•UXO identification lane

🚨 Update on tomorrow’s activities! 🚨

Friends & Familes, some important updates to tomorrow’s COBALT ACHIEVE! ✈️🪂
-All jumpers will report to Green Ramp and will load the planes from there 👍🏼
-First jumpers will land at Sicily DZ around 12:20👍🏼

But don’t worry, your Paratroopers will meet us out at Sicily DZ! There will be plenty of family friendly activities on site, food trucks, water & restrooms!

Do you even Land Nav? 3rd PLT, LE, sure does! LT Alonso ensures his Paratroopers freshen up on their land navigation skills during a practical. They practiced plotting points, measuring straight line and road distance, and how to convert G-M angles. Lethal and ready! Rock Steady!
