XVIII Airborne Corps MCPOD

Operation LAST RITES. On 25 September 2025, jumpmasters and paratroopers from the MCPOD helped plan and execute a joint, final airborne operation with 3d Special Forces Group, USASOC, Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 252 (VMGR-252)-C130J, Thai Special Forces and British Parachute Regiment. Participants were awarded the Thai SOF jump wings with red cord and British parachute wings. The participants from the MCPOD are the only conventional soldiers in DoD to have been awarded the Thai red cord, presented by Commanding General of Thai Special Warfare Command. We can't thank all the planners and participants enough for their efforts. This was the last unit organized airborne operation due to the Army cancelling 22K paid parachutist positions. AATW!
