Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School, the 5th Battalion was activated in the summer of 2011 to oversee all Psychological Operations training. Prior to that time, 1st SWTG(A)'s 3rd Battalion managed both Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations specialty training.
