Today is a sad day for 601st MCAS. We are losing one of the best NCOs that the Spartans have been blessed to have. SSG Miller, we are so grateful to you and everything that you have done for this company, battalion, and brigade! Your impact shows in all of those around you. A huge congratulations to the newest 44th Medical Brigade Best squad Soldiers straight from the 601st Medical Company Area Support! SSG Flint, SSG Pearson, SGT Lucas, SPC Miracle and PFC Vander toorn dominated the 72 hour competition which consisted of a Physical Fitness Assessment, the Air Assault Course, M4 qualification/stress shoot, warrior task testing, foot marches, day and night land navigation, medical lane, swim test and a written exam. We are so proud of our Spartan Soldiers and NCOs!

SSG Flint and SSG Lecroy represented the 601st Medical Company Area Support at the 44th Medical Brigade Best Medic competition, putting everything they had into a fierce pool of seven competitors!

In the end, SSG Lecroy earned the title of Best Medic, but we are proud of both of our outstanding Spartans!! Well done!!

Last week the Spartans took part in a 4 day field exercise where they honed their skills in battlefield medicine and got some great classes along the way! While receiving casualties, they were able to fit in some classes on great medical and tactical skills as well as MCD operations.
