SGM Ayres has been a steadfast leader, mentor, and role model within our formation. His professionalism, tireless dedication to the mission, and genuine care for Soldiers have made a lasting impact on our unit and its Soldiers.

While we will miss his leadership, we are proud to see him take on this critical role at one of the Army’s most prestigious divisions. The 82nd Airborne Division is gaining an exceptional leader, and we know he will continue to represent the Army and our unit with excellence.

On March 6th, 3rd Squadron, 2nd SFAB held a significant and memorable event as we conducted simultaneous Change of Command ceremonies for three of our Troops—HHT, A Troop, and B Troop. This moment marked a transition of leadership, a time-honored tradition that upholds the continuity of excellence within our formation.

We bid farewell to our outgoing commanders, who have each left an indelible mark on their units through their dedication, leadership, and commitment to the mission:
• CPT Anthony Snyder (HHT)
• MAJ Joshua Beneviat (A Troop)
• MAJ Jeremy Fowler (B Troop)

Their hard work and leadership have been instrumental in shaping their formations and ensuring mission success. We thank them for their service and wish them the best in their future assignments.

At the same time, we proudly welcome our incoming commanders, who are ready to take the helm and continue leading with professionalism and excellence:
• CPT Vinay Prabhakar (HHT)
• MAJ Jeffery Kraft (A Troop)
• CPT Pierce Watson (B Troop)

Their leadership will no doubt build upon the strong foundation set before them, and we look forward to seeing them take their units to new heights.

Change of Command ceremonies are not just about leadership transitions—they are about honoring the hard work, sacrifices, and dedication of both outgoing and incoming leaders. On March 6th, 3rd Squadron reaffirmed its commitment to excellence, mission readiness, and the advisory mission that defines SFAB.

Thank you to everyone who made this event possible and to all who continue to support our squadron. Check out the photos from the ceremony!
