Jason Williams, Deputy Commanding General of Operations, 82nd Airborne Division, hosted the inactivation ceremony of the 1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment at Fort Liberty, North Carolina, July 31, 2024. The unit’s inactivation is part of the Army’s restructure and modernization efforts as the U.S. military prepares for the future fight.

Falcon Recon cased its colors on July 31, 2024, symbolizing the end of the unit's lineage. We salute all the generations of Paratroopers who stood in our ranks and fought our nation's wars. Honor-Fidelity-Courage.

There will be a Regimental Picnic tomorrow, July 30, 2024, at 5:00pm at the 1-73 CAV Headquarters Building. Food and drinks will be provided. The Regimental Picnic is open to all.

1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment will conduct the Casing of the Colors Ceremony on July 31st, 2024, at 9:30am at Stang Field, Fort Liberty, North Carolina. The Casing of the Colors Ceremony is open to all current and former 1-73 CAV Paratroopers, families and friends of the Squadron, Distinguished Members of the Regiment, and Gold Star Families.

1st Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment will conduct the Casing of the Colors Ceremony on July 31st, 2024, at 9:30am at Stang Field, Fort Liberty, North Carolina. The Casing of the Colors Ceremony is open to all current and former 1-73 CAV Paratroopers, families and friends of the Squadron, Distinguished Members of the Regiment, and Gold Star Families.

There will be a Regimental Picnic on July 30, 2024, at 5:00pm at the 1-73 CAV Headquarters Building. Food and drinks will be provided. The Regimental Picnic is open to all.
