We are excited to welcome CPT Flordave Abadam as the new commander of HHC, 82nd DSTB! He joins us from his previous role as the Battalion Human Resource Advisor with the 2nd Infantry Battalion, 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade (SFAB). Welcome to the team, Sir โ Hammer Down! ๐จ
CPT Flordave Abadam, a native of Norfolk, Virginia, graduated from Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Military Leadership and earned his commission as an Armor Officer with a control branch in the Adjutant General Corps in May 2017.
CPT Abadam then received his Master of Business Administration from Webster University in December 2022.
Upon graduating from the Armor Basic Officer Leaders Course, he was assigned to the 1-64th Armor Battalion, 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, where he served as an Armor Platoon Leader and the Battalion S1 OIC. Following the Adjutant General Captains Career Course, CPT Abadam served as a Battalion Human Resource Advisor in the 2d Infantry Battalion, 2d Security Force Assistance Brigade (SFAB). He has deployed as a Regionally Aligned Force to the Republic of Korea and in support of Operation Freedomโs Sentinel in the Horn of Africa.
CPT Abadam is a graduate of the Armor Officer Basic Course, Maneuver Leaders Maintenance Course, Adjutant General Captains Career Course, Combat Advisor Training Course, and U.S. Airborne School.
His awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (1OLC), Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Service Medal, Army Overseas Service Medal, and the Parachutist Badge.
