A preview from our final FY26 board: The club saw two candidates make it to the finish line, earning their entry into this prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club. Gaining membership requires commitment to the club and its support for the Fort Bliss communities, as well as honoring the NCO Corps by being an active steward of the profession.

Pictured is SSG Tyrae Matos from the 1AD Combat Aviation Brigade, who received a Go at the final selection board. We also had SFC Omar Salas from the Division Artillery Brigade completing this board while forward in Europe. More photos to come!

The work is not over, these candidates’ membership is just getting started!

Last weekend, our chapter held our fundraising Golf Scramble at the Underwood Golf Complex. Thank you so much to the twelve teams that competed and helped make this a successful event! We also want to thank the anonymous donations that helped surpass our goal 🙏🏼 Events like this help the club maintain its scholarship program, which supports JROTC students from the El Paso communities. We look forward to hosting more events like this, making fun ways to bring people and teams together for a great cause. You lead from the front! ⛳️🏌️‍♂️

Members of the Paseo Del Norte chapter came out to support the 5th Armor chapter in welcoming their two new inductees into the Sergeant Audie Murphy Club this week. These inductees’ efforts earned them this elite membership and are a great example of what it takes to be a SAMC member 👏🏼
