1st Armored Division Achieves Excellence

The 1st Armored Division (1AD) has demonstrated exceptional performance across multiple fronts.

* Retention NCO of the Year: Congratulations to Sergeant Lulko, Corey of 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team (1ABCT), for his outstanding achievement as the III Corps Retention NCO of the Year.

* Reserve Career Counselor of the Year: We commend Sergeant First Class Olmos, Jennifer, for her exceptional performance as the III Corps Reserve Career Counselor of the Year.

Furthermore, 1AD stands out as the top Division in III Corps for completing its FY24 Mission, earning the prestigious Early Bird Award. This achievement is a testament to the unwavering dedication and hard work of our Career Counselors, Leaders, and the tireless service and sacrifice of our Soldiers and their families.

The 1st Armored Division Commanding General's Career Counselor of the Year Board and Retention Excellence Award Ceremony took place 23 September 2022 following a week of training and board appearances for Career Counselors across the Division.
It is with great honor that we announce the winners from the FY23 1st Armored Division Career Counselor of the Year Board:

Active Component Career Counselor of the Year- SFC Quinn Kearsley , 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division

Reserve Component Career Counselor of the Year- SFC Jeremy Rice

Retention NCO of the Year- SGT Cristian Cerpero, Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st Armored Division

Outstanding work to all of the competitors and the overall 1st Armored Division Winners! These NCOs will move forward to represent the 1st Armored Division in the III Corps Career Counselor of the Year board is the next few months.

The following Career Counselors were recognized for completing their retention missions first across the Division, and received the coveted "Early Bird Award Belt":
