Another great night at the Chouteau County Sheriff’s Office Citizens Academy!

Participants spent the evening learning about Search and Rescue operations and the realities of use-of-force decision-making. Attendees had the opportunity to work through realistic scenarios, experience our less-lethal tools, and even get hands-on with the Taser.

One particularly brave participant volunteered for a full REPULSE exposure, giving everyone a firsthand look at the effects of one of the tools our deputies may use in the field.

Thank you to all of our Citizens Academy participants for their enthusiasm and willingness to learn about the challenges and responsibilities of modern law enforcement. We look forward to another great session next week!

We have a couple spot fires along 87. We have Carter fire department and BlackEagle fire department on scene. Corporal Skunkcap provided video for us as our deputies are providing traffic control in the area.

Reports from callers say the fires were started from a vehicle throwing sparks. Please remember to secure loads before travel.
