On 29MAR16, Students from MCCC Team 3 conducted Indirect Fires Training at the Clarke Simulations Center. During this training, they learned the practical application of several concepts from the capabilities of different weapon systems to best practices in developing an integrated fires plan to support their operations.

HRC Representatives from Infantry Branch will return to Fort Benning, GA to conduct individual interviews for students and their spouses from 19-21 April 2016.

This week, students from MCCC Class 05-15 and ABOLC (Armor Basic Officer Leader Course) Class 15-09 conducted a mentorship/teambuilding PT event at Peden Field. The event gave MCCC students to opportunity to mentor and set expectations for officers who may become their future platoon leaders in the near future.

This week students of MCCC Class 05-15 executed simulated offensive operations utilizing the Close Combat Tactical Trainer (CCTT). The CCTT replicates M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and M1 Abrams tanks in a variety of situations and allows students to execute their plans created in the Mechanized Offense module of the course. As a result, students can now plan more rapidly and with more detail after seeing which portions of their plan were effective, and which areas need more detail.

Last week, the students of Seminar 4 brief their mechanized company defense operations orders to CPT Hefti (Seminar 2 Small Group Leader) in an improvised command post. Students adjusted their briefing techniques to account for ambient light/weather conditions and ensured understanding of the plan by their subordinates.

Members of MCCC Class 05-15 participated in multiple training events during the week of 21-25 September, including Army Basic Combatives Course instruction, and a Tactical Exercise Without Troops (TEWT) in the vicinity of Lawson Army Airfield. This TEWT reinforced prior classroom instruction on the conduct of defensive operations and provided students the opportunity to analyze how terrain can impact both friendly and enemy actions.
