Good Evening EZ Company families!!!
We wanted to pass out some Turning Green information...
After you make it through the Main Fort Benning gate, take the exit on your right. Then make the left onto Custer Drive.
Please get your pass the night before! And take the gate on the far right. You can still use your pass there. If you have to get your pass that morning, I understand. But you'll be amongst thousands of other people trying to get on post. And trying to get to the Custer exit is craziness in the morning.
When you get your pass, they may tell you to use the Sand Hill gate. You can use either.
Custer Dr takes you past housing, a school, and don't go to that Starbucks, you'll miss Turning Green.(they are great, but eeeeveryone stops there before coming on the hill...too busy!). Once on the Hill. Take that first Right onto 11th Airborne Division Rd, then a Left onto 187 Infantry Regiment St. The Chapel is on your Right. Next to it...a whole parking lot. Please don't park in the Chapel driveway.
Under no circumstances would we like for you to park on Hanson Dr. That is parking for the Cadre of 2/19 ONLY. Please. We get cranky when we can't park by our companies.
Please remember, the Turning Green Brief will be held at the Chapel at 0900 on Friday the 24th! There will be Cadre keeping you clear of the field until 1000. And making sure you dont park amongst the Cadre on Hanson Dr. There is plenty of seating outside!
We won't begin the ceremony until we've answered your questions. Because we (CPT Smith, 1LT Kudick, and, 1SG McClain) need to be there too.
There is another company Turning Green after us, so please, as soon as the ceremony is completed, please exit quickly so that the next company can park and take the field.
