One Year ago today, we went from Black Sheep to LTs. Hopefully it's been a great year for you all. If any of you deploy, or have any other important life events, please post them on the class page. We all survived OCS and we all survived each other. It was inspiring seeing many of the older generations, how they kept in touch. Feel free to share any funny or inspirational stories you've experienced over this past year too!

A Breed Apart!

Alright Class, it's been almost a year since we started this page. No one from the class has admin rights to it. I will delete it on the anniversary of your class up unless someone steps forward and wants to keep it going. Just comment on here and I'll add you.

On a better note, I hope everyone is doing well in life and the Army. Don't forget your roots! When the time comes try to get back here and give back to the organization that gave to you. Take care and stay in touch. You can always find me and the rest of the cadre on AKO or FB if you need us. Good Luck!

Congratulations BlackSheep! The bitter-sweet day of graduation has finally arrived. It has been my pleasure serving as your commander. I wish all of you long and successful career. It's a small Army and I'm sure we'll meet up again.

To the Family and Friends. You should be extrememly proud of your Second Lieutenants. They have gone farther and pushed harder than their peers. We asked them to deliver results that were often unattainable. To do things that would cause most to throw up their hands and walk away. Instead, your Lieutenants rolled up thier sleeves and attacked the problems with an intensity that is unmatched. Thank you for the support you have given them over their tenure here. For what it's worth, you all deserve a medal in my book.

Congratulations agian!

Week 12 is fast approaching. Here are a few notes:

Your candidates will authorized to leave post (not to exceed 35 miles) starting this Friday after the social. From then until graduation, if your candidate has off post accommodations, they will not be required to sleep in the barracks.

The formal is May 8th. It will be held at:
The River Mill
3715 1st Ave
Columbus, GA 31904
The formal social hour starts at 6:00pm (1800). The dress is formal. We have sheriff’s deputies patrolling the parking lot, so taxies are encouraged. The dress for the event is formal. For ladies, this means nice/tasteful evening wear. For gentlemen, a coat and tie is the minimum, but tuxedos are acceptable as well.

Graduation is scheduled for Thursday, May 10th. It will be held in Marshall Auditorium inside McGinnis-Wickham Hall (BLDG 4-Infantry Hall for those familiar with FT Benning). The auditorium is located directly behind the Staff Duty desk when you walk in the front door. Graduation will start promptly at 1:00pm (1300) so get there early. The dress is business casual. If you are a military officer and want to swear your candidate in, there will be flag stands located on the grounds for you to conduct the oath in front of after the ceremony. If you are an NCO and would like to render the first salute, position yourself at the door of the building after the ceremony. There is usually a congregation of NCOs outside after the ceremony that will steal your opportunity if you're not careful.

A list of possible hotels can be found lower on the page. Thank you for all the support throughout the class. You should be proud of your future Lieutenants. They have worked extremely hard and earned their right to graduate with the class.

Hello everyone! I apologize for the lack of news and pictures. I have been out of the net for awhile, and we don't have connectivity in the field.

Your candidates have successfully made it through the "hardest" part of OCS. The three weeks of field time are stacked with event after event and little rest. I'd love to elaborate, but the stories they bring back of their own experiences will be much better.

We are preparing for the transition in to Senior Officer Candidates on Friday. I will send out the details shortly, but for those who came to the Intermediate Review, it's in the same spot at 1:30 pm on Friday.

More pictures will follow as we consolidate all those taken while we were away. Thanks again for all you do for your candidates, OCS, and the Army!
