6th BN Monthly Recap: Training with Purpose

Advisors of 6th BN, 1st SFAB have closed out a strong month of training and readiness. From sharpening their communication skills, to lifesaving TCCC training, and building confidence on the range with M17 and M4 qualifications, every event showed discipline and dedication.

The 6th Battalion, 1st SFAB Advisor Team was honored to brief LTG Jered Helwig, Deputy Commander of U.S. Transportation Command, on 26 September.

The team highlighted the 1st SFAB’s advising mission in Panama and the valuable broadening opportunities available for logisticians.

LTG Helwig then recognized the outstanding efforts of 1SG Joseph Rascon and CW2 Jose Martinez with a coin of excellence for their contributions to the advising mission.

Twenty-four years ago, on September 11, 2001, our nation was changed forever. Today, we pause to remember the lives lost, the heroes who emerged, and the resilience that unified us as Americans.

On that tragic day, many of today's Soldiers were inspired to join the , answering the call to defend our nation and our freedom. We honor the commitment and sacrifice of those who served in the years that followed, and we will never forget the events that strengthened our resolve.
